BLOOMINGTON — First-timer Alan Jackson shouldn’t have trouble finding his way around the U.S. Cellular Coliseum tonight.

The Nashville Songwriters Association International’s professional songwriters voted on the “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” and the results were released on Sunday evening during an awards show at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel.

Trace Adkins ‘ “You’re Gonna Miss This” was named song of the year by members of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) on Sunday night (Oct. 26), during their annual gala ceremony at the Renaissance Nashville hotel.

Oct. 27, 2008 — Two male artists with a sly wit and strong traditional grounding, Alan Jackson and Brad Paisley, shared Songwriter/Artist of the Year honors during Sunday’s NSAI Awards, presented by the Nashville Songwriters Association International at Music City’s Renaissance Hotel.

The little country-music festival that could is going big time in its second year in Somerset, Wis. Apple River Country Splash 2009 will feature a major upgrade in talent, starting with superstars Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts , from last summer’s inaugural event.
